The Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Germany, in collaboration with its consultant network Aon, is organizing a CHKD Member Event (online) dedicated to addressing the liability risks and solutions for Chinese companies operating in Germany. We encourage Chinese companies interested in gaining insights into these risks and exploring customized strategies for risk mitigation to join us in this important event.<\/span><\/p>\n

As business practices are drastically different between in China and <\/span>Germany, it is easy to neglect the protection in Germany that is necessary for high level directors and management team. In our experience, some directors coming from China underestimate the D&O risk and liability risk that comes with the job in Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n

In Germany, board members, managing directors and supervisory board members are liable for their mistakes to an unlimited extent with their private assets. Adequate protection through D&O insurance is therefore required. A good D&O solution is the most important protection for private assets and your own career path.
